The Detachable Order of Service card, or Doscard, is an idea inspired by WJ O’Donnell, Managing Director of WJ O’Donnell & Sons Funeral Directors, which is protected by : EU Registered Design Nos. 006586137 -001 & 006586137-002. WJ is sympathetic to the stress and emotional burden planning a funeral of a loved one can be for a family. He, like other Funeral Directors, not only manage the logistics of the day but they ease the burden on the family where they can. With this in mind, WJ’s experience and expertise helped him envisage a more simplistic way for families to choose an Order of Service AND a Memorial Card at the same time, minimising stress and one less decision the families had to make. This unique concept has been replacing the traditional memorial cards with 80% of WJ O’Donnell & Sons clients requesting Doscards to form an integral part of their bespoke funeral planning during consultation since its inception in 2020.

Due to the traction that WJ was seeing through his own business, he believed that Doscards could be enhanced further and made available to everyone in their time of need and as such developed Doscard.com. Families can use this straightforward online order system to design their own Order of Service AND have their detachable memorial card in the same order with next day delivery to UK and Ireland in time for any funeral service. Doscard friendly office staff are always on hand to assist families and will place an order on their behalf if necessary.
